"The Drawer-PC"

Ingredients: VIA C3 E-series processor 800MHz on epia mini-itx board, 256MB pc133 RAM, 40GB Maxtor HD, Lite on DVD player, Logitech Wireless desktop optical, 90Watt ATX PSU (from an old Digital), Ikea Robin TV Bench, s-video -> scartkabel, A TV, Windows XP, Power DVD, Divx 5
Other: A jigsaw, normal saw, 5mm thick wood, 18mmx18mm wood, a drill, some screws, doublesided tape.
What to do: Dismantle the drawer from the TV-bench, build on the bottom a rack from the wood, with place for (bottom to top): DVD, HD and motherboard. Paint it white. Remove the front of the dvd-drive, measure the hole and cut a hole in the front of the drawer using the jigsaw.

The DVD-drive fits exactly, replace the front, HD on the second floor, motherboard on top, PSU in the back, shorten the IDE cables, and attach power cables. Reassemble the drawer and tadaa it all fits.
After that: Disassemble the whole bench to make a hole, otherwise you cannot connect your cables, Reassemble the whole thing and plug everything in. (Network, receiver for Keyboard and mouse.

Last but not least: Select your favourite cd's (which are by now almost all on the HD), divx-movie or dvd. Get the wireless mouse or keyboard, sit on the sofa, put your feet on the table, press play and ask your girlfriend for a beer :-)!
